PURPLE POTATOES (and some fingerlings)!  I think I saw a recipe for purple potatoes on 101 Cookbooks (also one of my favorite food blogs - I have both of Heidi Swanson’s books as well - she’s fantastic!) and had to buy some at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market this week.
I took Heidi’s advice and sliced them, tossed them in olive oil, then sprinkled with some sea salt and pepper.  I topped them with come crushed garlic and put them in the oven for 45 minutes at 400.  Could have used a little more time if you like your potatoes crispy, but these look, smell and taste fantastic.
Who knew purple potatoes could be so delicious!
